Last Day Tomorrow...

My shop will be opening for the last day tomorrow, which means that after we had closed the door tomorrow afternoon, we won't be opening again... Therefore I am posting pictures of my shop, for memories of course.

The curious case of Foong Huang Lou, staring: The Tauke Neo
That is my mother with her friends.

My mother serving drinks~

I think it's coffee.

Adding milky milky...

Hehe, I will be missing the cigarettes selling in our shop. It's ironic that you warn someone not to smoke but you are selling cigarettes.

Now introducing the workers in my shop. Should be more previously but recently we have only 2, and they are really funny no matter their face, their speaking and their action.

He is Ah Yung, a guy with a goofy face.

Her real name is Cui Fa, but we all call her "Foreman", like the leaders of the workers. She works here since our shop started business, gonna miss her much~

Special thanks to the hawkers "surviving" in our shop(We used to have more, they can't survive long enough), they indeed bring extra customers.

Kolo Mee
This one is my aunt(my mother's sister).
She is always joking all the time, and make fun of our workers Ah Yung and Foreman. The one beside her is her assistant Alice(or Elise).

Laksa+Fried Kueh+Fried Mee+Fried Kueh Tiao+Fried Bee Hoon
This is a funny woman we call her "Hiok Yee", means Aunty Leaf in Hokien. Look at her cooking laksa. (p/s:Sarawak laksa is the best, hate West Malaysia Laksa.)

Look at her, counting her money happily.

Claypot (Foodes Kitchen / Quan Min Da Men Guo)
This is my eldest brother, also a hawker in our shop.

The food my brother is selling, don't know need to wait for how long to have another bite after tomorrow.

I used to help my brother out serving the customers in front of his stall. No more chance already...

The things I enjoy in my coffee shop.

The wonderful fridge, how wonderful? This is the fridge I can get any drinks I want anytime without paying. "Getting without Paying" is the main point. But I will have to pay next time......

The place which is similar to a bar, where you can mix any drinks you want, and you must drink it no matter how nasty your drinks looks like or taste like.

Well, I will be seeing all of them for the last time tomorrow, I am really gonna miss them so much, no matter the people or the stuff in my shop. Never felt this heavy before...... Foong Huang Lou ......

Camp Fire Burning!!!

Camp fire burning, Camp fire burning,
Go nearer, Go nearer,
In the glooming, In the glooming,

Come sing and be merry.
This is a universal scout song they sang in the beginning of camp fire.

Today is Earth hour, which means we have to switch off our lights from 8:30pm to 9:30pm. During this we were having a camp fire at school, it's a scout activity actually. Well, we did turn off the lights, instead we had a meaningful and memorable night while we were also saving the Earth. So, camp fire at Earth hour =One stone hits two birds~
Worshiping The Fire God~

I have joined lots of camp fire outside, but only the 23rd scout has the one and only song for worshiping the fire god, I think it is really unique and indeed the 23rd scout specification. Share the lyrics here:
Ale Ale Hi~~~~
A~le Hi~~~~
Ale Ale Hi~~~~

A~le Hi~~~~

HEY~~~~~
Tumba Tumbalali Tumba H
ey~~

Forrest Gump

Just watched Forrest Gump, a 1994 comedy-drama film that garnered a total thriteen Academy Award nominations, which of it won six, including Best Picture, Best Visual Effects, Best Director (Robert Zemeckis), and Best Actor (Tom Hanks). It is really a must watch movie!!!

This movie is mainly about a story of a man, Forrest Gump, a man with a low IQ but a high EQ. The story from his childhood until his marriage. It's Forrest Gump's normal and simple life, but very special in its own way. It don't need to have explosion of vehicles nor saving some hostages in a fully protected mansion. It's just a plain and simple story of Forrest Gump himself. Really Jing Dian!

I think this film is so classic, is because of its main actor, Tom H
anks. Tom Hanks is really a super duper pro actor. I like his facial expression, especially his eyes and eyebrows, and the way he speaks, make his act so realistic and as the audience you will be easily resonated by the pro acting skills.

Tom Hanks is like a 'King of Actors" in the Western country, better than Brad Pitof course. Well, there is also a legendary actor in the Eastern country, and I think the actor will be Tony Leung Chiu Wai, anyone agree? His eyes also won him a lot of awards.

Tony Leung Chiu Wai
The Western Tom Hanks......The Eastern Tony Leung......Who do you prefer?

Sleepy Day

Didn't sleep well last night, or didn't sleep much last night.

Been to the graveyard this morning to pay my grandparents a visit, and help to clean their grave of course. We choose to go today because Thursday is our shop's off day (Last off day actually). Wake up at six o'clock in the morning, so damn tired but I still have to go. I only slept 3 hours last night, usually I have at least 5.

There is something I have never noticed at the graveyard every year until today, beside my grandparents' grave, there is The Chiams grave...OMG! For these years Howser Chiam's grandparents and my grandparents are neighbors! So me and Howser are "Suki"~ (Means "Ga Gi Nang" in Hainanese)

After I get back from the graveyard I staight fainted on the sofa, damn tired! Xian asked me to pick her at 11:50am, so i set my alarm to 11:15am, and later she said is 11:10am, but i forgot to set the alarm...... So you know the story, I end up getting up late, hop onto my kelisa and straight "peeo" to CHMS 3. My dear dear waited there until 11:50am, she was really tired, sorry lar dear... But she forgave me lar, haha...... After that we went to Rock Road Jade's Tea Pot and have lunch with Connie and Sze Haan. You all may be asking why Connie and Sze Haan? Having lunch together? Actually, I also feel strange about it, but whatever lar, as long as we did have a happy lunch together.

The rest of the day I was feeling very sleepy, have a quick nap when I had a chance, even when I was waiting at the traffic lights. But luckily I was able to get through the tuition hours, which is the most sleepy period in my life, it is like one minute equal to one hour, so damn sleepy.

Well, later Kiat, Kok, Connie, Ing, and Ling will be going to my shop...... IT'S 2 O'CLOCK MAN!!! Really need some sleep......

Imperial Production

I like to dance. I think it is relaxing and fun, moving your body, shaking your hips, remembering your foot steps, and awaring not to step on others...... I like to Rumba, Cha-Cha, Samba, Jive... These are the Latin ballroom dances, which focus more on hip movements comparing to Modern ballroom dances.

Well, I think the best dancing studio in Kuching is Imperial Production, located here. Anyone who is interested can contact our teacher, Victor Lim for more detail: 016-8889048. (Think I should get advertisement fees from Victor.)

I have my dancing lesson every Wednesday night with Xian, of course we are partners. We just finished our Level 1 Samba class, and next month will be Level 1 Rumba class. So for those newbies who are interested, you can start your lesson next week onwards, Victor will teach the basics of Rumba (If you attend Wednesday 8:30pm-9:30pm class) from the beginning and don't worry you won't catch up with us. Xian and I are dancing better, and we really enjoy it. She thinks that we should participate in competition, but I think that it is impossible because there isn't much time for us to practice, secondly we are just learning for fun and we still have to go study few months later. So Xian, just enjoy lar, no need compete de lar, sure lose de...

I think ballroom dancing is important as it is a socializing tool, and we don't know when we will use it, but we WILL use it when the time comes. And for boys, it's so "sak" that we can dance on the floor at formal dinner, and they girls will be saying:"Wow! He dances so good, so cool, I wish I could dance with him!" See? (Caution: This is not my purpose of learning dance.) And 1 more thing boys, learning these won't make u an "Ah Gua", but a gentleman..... It's True, look at me......

Just sharing, not advertising! ~Enjoy you hobbies~

A Place Called Home

Maybe many of you do not realise how important your home means to you, well, maybe you all do, but I used to ignore about the importance of home once. I used to go out early in the morning and get home late before midnight, and home is just a place for me to rest and sleep. I did not spent much time with my family, but with my friends. But once you realise that the house that you are living now, the computer you are facing right now, and the sofas, the closets, the windows, the paintings, the shelves...... Everything that seems familiar to you, and you think that they are all fine, just the same way they should be not matter when, are not going to be that way they should be after some weeks, you feel that you regret not spending too much time at home, and you wish that you should have lied on that sofa long enough, or rolled on the floor more...... This a feeling I call it pre-homesick.

Today I spent my time with my father at the hospital, he is feeling dizzy and uncomfortable recently, and we all persuade him to seek a doctor's consultation. He had a liver problem, that was in year 2000, and now his condition has gone worse from the report...... Hope that my papa gets better, and we will try our best to make him happy, because he is always worrying. Anyway, I canceled my tuition class this afternoon to accompany my father, he keeps telling me that he can do it alone and asking me to attend my class, but I knew that he was happy to have me there. Special thanks to Xian and her mom, my father is glad to have someone else who cares for him~ Love you Xian ~ Thanks for the concern ~

Today is Ah Lim (Zero boy) and Ah Sheng (Water boy) 's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! We used to lagoon both of them with their legs crossing each other, but since Ah Sheng is at Aussie, I think that we postpone it lar...(Don't worry Lim and Sheng, we will treat you good like you deserve it!)

Still wondering how many days left do I have in this house?

Sze Haan and ET 2 JAPAN~~-

We had a farewell dinner for Sze Haan and Yi ting at the steamboat restaurant at BDC (dunno what's its name), and both of them are going to Japan, studying child care & education. Hehe, same words though, should have known both of you better, anyway, "jia you" both of you, hope you all become what you want to be and do what you expected in the future~ Best Wishes ~

Only Hui Duan and me are from the science side attended tonight, the rest are all from art side. Good thing he showed up, Xin Yu and Frank also, or else my night would be rather boring. I saw the bruise on Frank's neck, he got that in the paintball game last Saturday, really feel painful when you look at it, awgh.....

First time I meet Zi Ling's boyfriend, Ah Ming (or Ah Meng), he said he knew my third brother, but he doesn't know his name, just knowing that he is the one from BDC's coffee shop, which is my father's shop. Ah Ming is a funny guy, he talks in a funny way, sits in a funny way, acts in a funny way, and even takes picture in a funny way... Like this guy..

I cherish every gathering with my friends nowadays, because everyone will be leaving one by one from day to day. No one will ever know when we all can meet again or gather again someday. I feel sorry for those I failed to show up at the air port when they are about to leave Kuching, having lame excuses saying that I failed to wake up or I need to attend tuition class. So far I have missed Hyuk Ji, Christ, Yu Ting, Xiu Ping and Ivonne's flight... Not gonna miss anyone's flight again!!

Every gathering and meeting has its meaning and power, do not underestimate it because this is how our friendship grows and how we connect to each other. So please don't give silly excuses for rejecting your friends invitation and be more outgoing, it is more meaningful than staying at home watching TV.

Say Goodbye to BDC

My father has sold our shop, and we are going to move away from BDC Foong Huang Low, and there won't be any Foong Huang Low next month, because this week will be the last week our shop opens.

Of course I feel sad about it, I am not glad to move to a new place, fall in love with my shop already, living in it for 18 years... T.T Still haven't decide where to move, mostly move to my cousin's house behind Sunny Hill (Yummy!!), she decided to sell her double-storey house.

I felt very regret that I didn't help my shop much in the past, always finding excuses to leave my shop and hang out with friends. Now that I only have limited time left to stay in my shop, trying to remember everything I see... Sorry papa and mama, for not being a helpful boy in the shop although both of you didn't scold me much, but from inside, I feel wanna cry... I promise I will study hard in university, find a good job and feed you all fat fat!! Love you papa and mama~~

I will be staying at my shop every morning this week, and this is how long my shop lasts... Goodbye Foong Huang Lou, Goodbye Everise, Goodbye our rival Xiang Man Lou, Goodbye BDCkia, and Goodbye to all my neighbors, should have known you all better...

Gonna Miss my home~~

Farewell for Adeline

Waseh! Really long long long long...... long long long time didn't blogging lor, really paiseh to those who keep checking my blog and see 'Tulankia is back", haha, sorry ya... Now feel wanna blog kee, coz really should write something for memories before going to study~~

Today(or yesterday) I have a choice, I can either play paintball with my fellow scouts or attend Adeline's farewell dinner organized by herself. Well, I chose to have dinner with my classmates, thinking that I seldom attend any of our class's gathering since we do not have much of these gathering things. But I feel sorry to Xian and those guys who created a game of paintball game... Sorry guys... But I do think the message Lee Long sent is really creative:

Paintball-Allstar.com version6.60
21/03/09 Saturday 6:00pm
7th Mile KFC meet (Pls be punctual)
Clothes: Eat yourself (Pls prepare extra)
Fare: RM52.00 (Self payment for extra)
Time: 7:00pm-10.00pm (MB11.00pm)
Hero: Lee Long, Lee Hong, Guang Ming,
Ming Qiang, Yu Ling, Hao Ming,
Hai Yi, Song Yuan, Di Xi,
Jiu Rui, Xin Yu, Yue Guang,
Si Xian, Yu Wei, Huan Wei, nil.
(8 vs 8)
Mode: spar

Actually this message is in Chinese but my computer could not input Chinese character, but anyway I like this message. Actually i don't understand the "nil." in the end, does it have a special meaning? Well, I did not go so Jian Wei took my place. Still feel sorry for these guys especially Xian, haha, as I really "pangseh" them. But they did have fun, except for something happen caused by someone pb... Hehe, they did bring back a lot of bruises and pain, but most of all they brought back valuable memories, which I had missed.

For Adeline's farewell dinner at "Xing Hua Chun" was also enjoyable although there were only 11 people attending tonight. Our Mango Queen thinks she is so smart when she hears that all the drinks there costs RM2.50 including canned drinks as she ordered juice, but in fact her JUICE costs her RM4.50, haha... We were smarter... I think we did have a good time talking, eating, dapaoing, laughing, like I seldom have these time with my classmates, so it was rather meaningful to me. This maybe the last dinner with us for Adeline, and we really wish her a bon voyage to Japan, she is going to study in JAPAN!!! What she study? Acting! Drama! Movie! ( I don't know how to say "xi ju" in English). Well, hope we won't be seeing her in some FILMS staring her as the main actress. Good Luck Adeline, wish ya all da best!!!

Next time blog in Chinese, really feel tired typing English, took me a lot of time, zzz..... Till then~~ Wanna tuition tomorrow, scare to fell asleep in class, goodnitez~~~
